Kitchen & Guest Bath Remodel with a Laundry Room Addition
Phase 1 - Laundry & Mudroom AdditionThis Huntersville family chose to split their major home renovation into two phases to space out the cost of the project and to make it a little easier to navigate with three kids under the age of seven. The first phase of the remodel included the design and construction of a large laundry room and mudroom addition off their garage and kitchen. To make the space as family-friendly and functional as possible, we designed built-in cubbies around storage baskets to keep them organized.

Project Scope:Custom Redesign
With muddy boots in mind, we chose a dark gray porcelain floor tile that will withstand even the worst messes. Simple, white cabinets with honed absolute black granite counters create a neutral, classic look, while pops of orange give a nod to this family’s love of color.
“As returning customers with ReVision Design/Remodeling, it goes without saying that my wife and I are incredibly happy with their people and their expert level of work… With the two-phase project now complete, we have a seamless and absolutely beautiful and efficient mudroom/laundry room adjacent to the rest of our newly remodeled first floor. It’s so incredible that most days we still can’t believe it’s our house.”

This tall, custom cabinet hides the toaster oven and coffee station. The bottomless wall cabinet sits directly on the countertop for easy access and clean up. Filtered water is within reach thanks to the proximity of the refrigerator. Wide drawers below house mugs and food storage containers.
Phase II – Kitchen Redesign
The second phase of the project included the redesign of their kitchen, living spaces, and guest bathroom. By opening some walls and closing others we were able to create a smoother traffic flow in and around their kitchen and the adjoining living spaces.
The large L-shaped island provides much-needed storage and counter space and creates a natural transition to the breakfast table. The double doors open to the laundry room addition we completed previously.
