Sanctuary Suite Upgrade
In this Myers Park home, we transformed a neutral, all-white bedroom into a rich, moody retreat inspired by nature. The homeowner envisioned a cozy, enveloping space, reminiscent of a serene forest, and we delivered a design that feels both dramatic and tranquil.
The highlight of the bedroom is a stunning peacock wallpaper, which served as the foundation for the room’s color palette. To add depth and dimension, we installed custom paneling along the lower portion of the walls, painting it, along with the doors and trim, in a deep, earthy green. The ceiling was brightened with a complementary celery-sage green, subtly lifting the space while maintaining a cohesive, natural aesthetic.
In addition to the bedroom, we addressed moisture issues in the mudroom’s tub nook, which had previously been left untiled. We designed and installed wall tile that not only resolved the issue but seamlessly integrated with the existing renovation, creating a timeless look as if it had always been part of the design. The walls, ceiling, and existing vanity were all repainted in harmonious tones—soft greens and a deeper greige—to tie the mudroom into the bedroom’s refreshed palette.
This remodel brought warmth, character, and cohesion to the home, blending functionality with the homeowner’s desire for a cozy, nature-inspired environment.
