Small Hall Bath Redesign

Small Hall Bath Redesign

Typical of many mid-century ranch homes in Charlotte, this small hall bathroom serves as both the powder room and the kids’ bath. Visible at the end of the main hall off the foyer, the goal was to create an elegant space our clients wouldn’t be embarrassed for their guests to see, that would also hold up to heavy use. Easy-to-clean, kid-friendly surfaces paired with timeless details like crystal knobs and decorative toe kick ensure this small hall bathroom serves both functions.

Spaces Included:

Lansdowne, Charlotte, NC

Project Scope:

Pull & Replace

Setting the vanity storage tower on a small piece of the quartz countertop material elevates it off the main counter surface. This prevents the bottom of the cabinet from soaking up stray water which would cause damage over time.

Design with Longevity in Mind

Beaded inset cabinetry with a decorative toe kick valance gives this hall bathroom a formal feel, which is further supported by the picture frame wainscoting that surrounds the room. At the same time, high performance materials such as the quartz countertops and porcelain and glass tile accent ensure this space will hold up to heavy daily use and maintain its good looks as the kids grow.
