Color Pop Revival in Eagle Lake
When a family found their dream home just two doors down from their original residence, they knew they had discovered something special. This mid-century modern house, perched above Eagle Lake, was a vibrant jade-colored gem designed by architects in the 1950s. However, the home, influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, was in need of significant updates, including a leaky flat roof.
The homeowners saw its potential and embarked on a remodel that reimagined the main level and added a second-floor extension. The design strikes a balance between the original mid-century style and a more modern, contemporary feel, incorporating bold colors and textures. Inspired by its lakeside setting, the home evokes a boathouse vibe, with a soothing palette of greens, teals, and blues.
What was once a diamond in the rough is now a truly unique home—a perfect blend of history and modern living.
