ReVision Design/Remodeling
Bathroom Remodeling Process
Surviving a bathroom remodel in Charlotte and surrounding areas may be challenging, especially with a busy family. It can get cramped when parents accustomed to having their own main bathroom now have to share with their children.
However, you can make the process go more smoothly if you know what to anticipate and prepare ahead by planning, scheduling, readjusting, and organizing. You’ll be lounging in a lovely new tub or relaxing in a refreshing shower in your new spa-like bathroom before you know it.
- Preparation Time
- Rough Time Period
- Drywall & Cabinetry
- Countertops & Backsplash
- Finishing Touches
The first step in the bathroom remodeling process is to pack up all of your stuff from the bathroom. Everything from your shampoo to your toilet bowl cleaner falls into this category.
Keep everyday necessities, such as toothpaste, in an easy-to-grab container or bathroom caddy. This approach helps if you have one bathroom in your house; it will help keep the room from becoming cluttered.
Early in the design process, review your timetable and lead times with your design professional from ReVision in charge of the construction. Consider what everyone’s restroom routines are. Mornings are particularly hectic, so some individuals may need to get up a bit earlier than usual so everyone has enough time and hot water.
A bathroom remodel can take anywhere between three and eight weeks, based on the extent of the project. Large bathroom remodeling projects in Charlotte can take anywhere from four to six weeks to complete, but most bathroom remodeling takes at least a month.
Plumbing, flooring, and electrical systems will take far longer than simply putting in a new sink or shower.
Bathroom system replacements might take anywhere from a few days to a week, depending on the status of your home. Hiring ReVision will help you finish your project with superior quality and in less time than tackling it on your own.
Obtaining goods such as the right tile, the sink, countertops, and flooring, will add time to your project. We factor in the lead times before bathroom remodeling starts to give you a more accurate (and realistic) timeline.
If we start from scratch, the drywall will be hung and finished as soon as the building inspectors have approved the framing and tradespeople’s work. If we’re working with the drywall already in place, it will save you some time.
After the drywall mud is cured and sanded down, it’s time to install the cabinetry and flooring. It’s vital that the cabinetry is straight, flush, and even when installed.
With the help of leveling lasers, uneven cabinets aren’t an issue ReVision experiences. Once the drywall, flooring, and storage places are all set, it’s time to move on to bathing areas and countertops.
After installing the cabinets, a countertop fabricator will come to your home to create a template for cutting the material of your choice for the vanity area. If you want any specific backsplash in your bathroom or stonework in your shower, we will install these at this time as well.
Because the stone is cut off-site, the template is essential for obtaining the correct size and form that will suit the cabinets and has the proper sink cutouts. After manufacturing, we receive the countertops and place them immediately on top of the base cabinets. You will also have your shower or bath installed around this time.
It’s almost time for you to see our bathroom remodeling work for the first time! Now that everything’s in its place, we’ll add the last-minute touches. These touches include light fixture installation, mirrors, cabinet hardware, and all of the painting or wall coverings. We want your new bathroom in Charlotte, the queen city, to be just that—fit for royalty.
Once this is complete, a building inspector will come by to ensure everything is up to code and safe for your family to use. Now that your bathroom is all set, it’s time for you to take advantage of your newly remodeled space.
It’s important to mention that residual construction dust is inevitable for the first two weeks following construction or bathroom remodeling. This dust is something you may want to be aware of if you have luxury towels or jewelry you keep in your bathroom.
Consider adding an extra day of dusting to your cleaning routine for a few weeks until all of the dust has settled. Now all you need is a bath bomb, a couple of candles, and a few moments of peace to enjoy your new bathroom!
Now that your bathroom is updated check your tub, shower, and toilet to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Residual construction dust may hang around in the air for a couple of weeks, so be aware when relaxing in your new bathroom space. Finally, you can enjoy the new bathroom remodel you imagined!

Whole House Remodel"We're so pleased with the renovation and the professionalism ReVision exhibited throughout the entire remodeling process. We couldn't be happier with the final result and always felt in good hands from start to finish. They helped shape our original design ideas into reality and kept us on budget without sacrificing quality. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail paired perfectly with incredible communication and their desire to make things right. Everyone worked so well together to handle what seemed like a big job with a lot of moving parts with relative ease and flexibility. We can't thank ReVision enough for making everything go so smoothly. We are so grateful we trusted them with our home - it was beyond worth it."

Bathroom Remodel"We hired ReVision to remodel our main bathroom. From beginning to end it was a fantastically easy process. They created multiple designs we could choose from and tweaked the final design to meet our taste and budget. We were kept updated and they were responsive when we had questions or brought up issues. And the final product? I can’t tell you how thrilled I am. The results are better than I imagined. The first time I walked in the finished space, I wanted to cry tears of joy. I almost don’t want to use it so I can keep it looking pristine. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact ReVision for another project."
