Soak & Unwind Near Mountain Island Lake

Transforming a long, narrow, and outdated bathroom into a beautifully designed, functional retreat, this impressive renovation earned Best Bathroom Over $150,000 at the 2023 Remodeler of the Year (RotY) Awards.

The homeowners envisioned a bathroom that felt more spacious, inviting, and better suited to their everyday needs. The existing layout presented several challenges, including an outdated glass block window, limited storage, and an awkward entrance framed by columns connecting the primary suite to the bathroom. These features made the space feel cramped and disconnected, leaving plenty of room for improvement.

Our team approached the renovation with a focus on improving flow, maximizing functionality, and creating a more cohesive design. By reconfiguring and straightening the entrance, we were able to overcome structural challenges while opening up the space and establishing a more natural transition from the primary suite. Thoughtful design solutions addressed the homeowners’ storage concerns while creating a bathroom that feels both comfortable and sophisticated.

The result is an award-winning transformation that demonstrates how creative problem-solving, thoughtful space planning, and exceptional craftsmanship can completely reimagine even the most challenging layouts.

Finding Solace In Your Bathroom

With this bathroom seemingly always being cold, we made sure the client found warmth after stepping out of their newly installed opposite shower fixtures by placing heated floors for comfort, no matter the season. The storage was also a pain point, so our team made sure to include built-in drawers around the bathroom entrance door for linens, towels and other necessities.

Pre-renovation bathroom featuring red and green palm leaf botanical wallpaper, a dark vanity mirror, and white cup sconce lighting.Contemporary wet room featuring a freestanding soaking tub, bronze plumbing fixtures, white marble wall tile, light oak cabinetry, and geometric star-patterned flooring.
