Not Your Average Wallflower in Historic Dilworth

Nestled in a charming 1926 Dilworth home, this kitchen transformation blends historic character with modern functionality. What was once a cramped, L-shaped layout is now an open, inviting space after removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The new Stardew blue cabinetry sets a bold yet timeless tone, centered around an oversized island with ornate wooden legs and seating for four. A cozy breakfast nook with banquette seating and playful floral wallpaper adds warmth and personality, while a fully outfitted wet bar—with wine storage and an ice machine—brings convenience and flair. The showpiece of the room is the stunning new range, set within a custom recessed nook and framed by a beautifully tiled basketweave backsplash—an elegant nod to the home’s historic charm.

By opening the kitchen to the living room, we created a natural flow that encourages conversation and connection. The continuous sightlines and cohesive finishes make the two spaces feel effortlessly unified.
