Sparkling Whole Home Remodel in Waxhaw

This whole-home remodel transformed an early 1990s house in Waxhaw into a more functional, light-filled retreat tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle. The kitchen, primary bathroom, and adjoining living areas were thoughtfully reimagined with improved layouts, enhanced storage, and sophisticated finishes that bring timeless elegance to everyday living.

A standout feature of the renovation is the beautifully redesigned fireplace in the adjoining morning room, which earned Best Interior Element Under $30,000 at the 2022 Remodeler of the Year (RotY) Awards. Once dominated by a dated two-story stone fireplace, the space now features an elegant cast stone surround, marble hearth, and custom shadowbox molding that creates a striking architectural focal point. A softer color palette and simplified built-ins further enhance the room’s inviting atmosphere.

The primary bathroom received an equally impressive transformation, earning Best Bathroom Over $75,000 and the People’s Choice Award at the 2022 RotY Awards. An oversized tub deck was replaced with a spacious walk-in shower featuring sleek porcelain slab walls, while an expanded two-person closet, dedicated makeup vanity, and custom tile flooring bring together luxury and everyday functionality.

Throughout the home, outdated features were replaced with thoughtful design solutions, including a streamlined kitchen with a generous island and improved flow. The result is a cohesive, multi-award-winning renovation that seamlessly blends classic sophistication, modern functionality, and exceptional craftsmanship.
